What is the Miracle League?
It's hope, determination and a display of human spirit that is unequaled. And of course… there's baseball. The "why" behind the Miracle League: Every child deserves the chance to play ball.
The Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field is a custom-designed barrier-free ball field where players of all ages and abilities can hit, run, catch and play ball. The field is specially equipped with a cushioned synthetic surface that allows players utilizing wheelchairs and walkers to move unrestricted and without fear of injury.
In additions to our numerous community sponsors and donors, this project is facilitated by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board and supported by the Rotary Club of Springfield North and the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
It is with great community support and excitement that we are able to bring you the Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field.
The Miracle League serves children and adults with disabilities. We use a "Buddy" system, pairing each player with a volunteer buddy who may assist in hitting, running, catching - or just cheering on! The result is a bond which simply cannot be described. Spring and fall leagues held at the Betty and Bobby Allison Miracle League Ball Field in Dan Kinney Park. Leagues for youth and adults with disabilities. Scholarships may be available.
