Cooper Tennis Complex

Named the 2016 USTA Outstanding Tennis Facility, Cooper Tennis Complex offers tennis lessons and leagues for all ages. The complex includes 12 indoor courts (all resurfaced in 2019) and 17 outdoor lighted courts, including the 2,500-seat stadium court, home of the Springfield Lasers 2018 and 2019 World TeamTennis Champions. Cooper Tennis Complex also has a full-service pro shop with racquet stringing and grip services, locker rooms with showers, a fitness room with exercise equipment and free weights, a small conference room and a large furnished meeting area.

Cooper Tennis Complex is home to the Glendale High School tennis team, four collegiate teams, and the Greater Springfield Community Sports Development Tennis Program. The Springfield Lasers World TeamTennis franchise has called Cooper home since the team’s founding in 1996. Cooper hosts a wide range of annual USTA events, including Play Days, 10 and Under events and USTA sanctioned tournaments, as well as numerous other state and regional tournaments.

Cooper Tennis Complex opened in 1994 and had a major expansion in 2006. It was named the 2000 USTA Outstanding Tennis Facility and the 2006 USTA Missouri Valley Section Facility of the Year.

Cooper Tennis Complex is home to 2018 and 2019 World TeamTennis Champions, the Springfield Lasers. The Lasers are a professional World TeamTennis franchise with home matches in July. Visit springfieldlasers.com for more information.

        

Community Sports Development Program (CSDP)

The Community Sports Development Program tennis section has three main components: Outreach, Recreational, and the Academy component. The Outreach component helps introduce youth to tennis. The Recreational and Academy components are designed to help youth achieve their goals, whether it is just to have fun with friends, to obtain a college scholarship, or to be a world class player.
