  1. Updated Aquatics Hours

    Starting July 6, the schedule at both Chesterfield and Doling indoor aquatics is:

    Monday-Friday, 5:15 a.m.-noon, Adults only
    Monday-Friday 1-8 p.m., All ages open swim
    Saturday, 7 a.m.-noon, Adults only
    Saturday, Noon-7:30 p.m., All ages open swim
    Sunday, Noon-5 p.m., All ages open swim
    Admission indoor pools:
    Free/Members of Chesterfield and Doling Family Centers.
    $8/adults, $6/seniors for Adults Only Swim
    $4/adults, $3/youth and seniors for All Ages Open Swim

    Capacity is limited at both pools, according to city orders. No shared pool equipment is provided, like kickboards, noodles and weights. Swimmers may bring their own equipment, but may not share equipment with others. Lap lane swimming is limited to one person per lane, unless that person shares a lane with someone in their household. Waterslides and spray features will be on during open swim hours.

    Swimmers are advised to keep a minimum six-foot distance from others in the pool and on the deck, make sure they wash their hands before and after visiting, avoid touching their faces, cover any coughs or sneezes, and please stay home if they are feeling any symptoms of illness.

  2. Outdoor Pools

    Fassnight Pool in Fassnight Park, 1300 S. Campbell Ave., and McGee-McGregor Wading Pool in Phelps Grove Park, 950 E. Bennett, are open following a regular weekly schedule starting July 14.

    In compliance with the City of Springfield’s current COVID-19 orders, pool capacity is limited. Once the pool reaches capacity, additional guests will only be accepted as one in, one out. Guests who leave the pool may have to wait in line to reenter.

    Swimmers and pool guests are also advised to keep a minimum six-foot distance from others on the pool deck, make sure they wash their hands before and after visiting, avoid touching their faces, cover any coughs or sneezes, and please stay home if they are feeling any symptoms of illness.

    Due to limited lifeguard availability as well as operation costs, the Park Board will not open Grant Beach, Meador, Silver Springs or Westport outdoor pools this summer.

Indoor Pool Hours


Indoor pools are open year-round. During Open Swim hours, water features will be turned on. Classes and programs may also be held during this time which may affect the use of features by guests. During Guaranteed Lap Swim hours, lap lanes will be designated for lap swim only. Please use proper swim etiquette. Note: Chesterfield Aquatics Center lap lanes are 25 meters. Aquatics Hotline 864-2099

Outdoor Pool Hours


Hours at Fassnight Pool:

  • 1-6:30 p.m., Tuesdays through Sundays, through Sunday, Aug. 16
  • Closed Mondays for maintenance
  • Weekends only Aug. 22-23, Aug. 29-30 and Sept. 5, 7
Hours at McGee-McGregor Wading Pool:
  • 10 a.m.-Noon and 3-6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays
  • 3-6 p.m. Sundays, through Sunday Aug. 16
  • Closed Mondays for maintenance


Admission to Fassnight is $4/adult (ages 18-59), $3/Youth (ages 3-17) and Senior (ages 60 and up). Kids 2 and under are free with a paid adult. The Splash & Sizzle program, offering $1 admission or free with a canned food donation, will take place all day each Sunday, 1-6:30 p.m., benefiting Ozarks Food Harvest. At this time, pool passes and discount coupons are not available. Discount coupons left over from previous years, however, will be honored.

Admission at McGee-McGregor is free, but the pool is limited to children age 6 and under, with a parent or guardian age 16 or older, wearing a swimsuit.

Aquatics Programs

Swim lessons and swim team are not currently taking place.

Swim Lessons/Swim Teams


Registrations must be received no later
than the Friday before the session begins by 12 p.m. (noon). Cancellations will be made at that time if there is low enrollment. 

General Pool Rules


  • All visitors to indoor pools must also follow the Park Board’s Family Center rules, which require children 11 and under to be accompanied by an adult at the facility. Chesterfield Family Center Rules  Doling Family Center Rules
  • Children 8 years of age and under must be accompanied and directly supervised by a person 16 years of age or older, wearing a swimsuit. Weak/non-swimmers must be accompanied in the water
  • Running, horseplay, and profanity are not allowed in or around the pool area.
  • Diving is allowed off of the diving boards only.
  • No prolonged or repeated breath holding.
  • Large inflatable rafts and other items are prohibited. We reserve the right to have any item removed from the pool for the safety of other guests.
  • Life jackets, water wings and small personal floats may be used only in close proximity to a parent or guardian. Direct supervision is required.
  • Appropriate swimwear is required for use of the pool, including swim diapers for all non-toilet trained guests. Any attire with offensive language or symbols is prohibited.
  • Glass containers, tobacco, alcohol, and weapons are prohibited. Guests who are under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave without refund.
  • Persons with an open wound, a rash, diarrhea, or an infectious communicable disease, will not be admitted into the pool.
  • The Springfield Greene-County Park Board is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
  • Certified lifeguards are on duty for your safety. Please obey lifeguards at all times. The aquatics division reserves the right to modify these rules at any time to ensure order and safety.

Wading Pool Rules


  • All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by a person 16 years of age or older, wearing a swimsuit. There must be at least one adult for every four children in your party.
  • Running, horseplay, and profanity are not allowed in or around the pool area.
  • Certified lifeguards are on duty for your safety. Please obey lifeguards at all times. The aquatics division reserves the right to modify these rules at any time to ensure order and safety.

Waterslide Rules


  • Riders must remain feet first. No stopping or rotating in the slide.
  • No shirts, goggles, or flotation devices. Clothing with buttons or zippers is prohibited.
  • Riders must follow additional posted manufacturer's guidelines at each facility.

Diving Board Rules


  • Diving boards shall be used by strong swimmers only. A swim test may be required.
  • This area is restricted to diving only when boards are open for use.
  • One person on a diving board at a time. Divers shall wait to dive until previous diver exits the diving area.
  • Dive or jump forward; do not dive off the side of the board.
  • Exit the water immediately using the closest ladder, or by swimming under the rope.
  • Shirts, flotation devices, and goggles are prohibited. The Aquatics Staff has the right to prohibit any dive that seems too dangerous to perform.
