SPRINGFIELD, MO — Sunday, August 13, is the last day of the Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s regular outdoor pool season. After Sunday, all outdoor pools except Fassnight Pool are closed for the season, although Friday, Aug. 11 is the last day for Silver Springs and Westport pools, and Saturday, Aug. 12 is the last day for Meador Pool and McGee McGregor Wading Pool. A full schedule is at ParkBoard.org/Aquatics.
After a busy summer, daily attendance at the Park Board's outdoor pools typically drops off as the first day of school approaches, and nearly all lifeguards are also preparing to return to school and unable to maintain their summer work schedule.
Fassnight Pool reopens Saturday and Sundays only, 1-6:30 p.m., through Labor Day, including Aug. 19-20, 26-27 and Sept. 2-4, including discount Splash & Sizzle swimming all day on Monday, Sept. 4.
Outdoor pool admission fees remain:
Indoor pools at Chesterfield and Doling Family Centers are open year-round, seven days a week. Regular indoor admission is $10/adults, $7/kids and seniors.
Detailed information about each pool, swim lessons and more is at ParkBoard.org/Aquatics. For more information, call the Aquatics Hotline at 417-864-2099.

The fountain operates daily, with jet fountains running every hour, on the hour, 10 a.m.- 9:30 p.m., and a continuous show 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Admission is free to this interactive water feature.
