The Mosaic Garden serves as one of the main entry points to the botanical garden and is located in close proximity to the Rose Garden, White Garden and South Creek Greenway Trail. The focal point is a 20-foot diameter patio inlayed with colorful glass and tile. Created and installed by local Springfield artist, Christine Schilling, the imagery includes an ever-blooming bouquet of local plants and animals. Funding for the mosaic was provided by Ruth Kelley, a friend of Major and Marthe Close. The landscape plantings include some of the initial garden plants installed by the garden founders along with long-blooming perennials and shrubs.
