  2. Coronavirus & Membership

    Due to the current Park Board facility closures and until further notice, both the Parks Administration Office and Chesterfield Family Center are closed to the general public. However, in an effort to continue to serve our patrons, anyone wishing to register for Cruse Dog Park may do so by appointment.

    Steps for Drive-Up Registration:
    • The Parks Administration Office, located at 1923 North Weller is the only location taking new registrations.
    • Staff will be available at this location, Tuesday and Thursday mornings (8 a.m. - 12 p.m.) by appointment only.
    • Anyone wishing to register their dog for the Park must call 417-864-1332 to speak with staff to make an appointment for curb-side registration.
    • In an effort to expedite the process, patrons are asked to either print a completed copy of the application or fill it out on-site. 
    • Applicants are required to provide a copy of their pet medical records from a licensed veterinarian including Certificate of Vaccination for Rabies and Parvo. Those copies are kept on file. 
    • Staff will process payments and issue an activated fob for gate access to the Park.
    Membership Renewals:
    • Cruse Dog Park membership renewals may be done by mail or email.
    • The renewal form is available for print here
    • Renewal form, current vaccinations records and payment may be mailed to Springfield-Greene County Park Board, 1923 North Weller, Springfield, MO 65803 Attn: Cruse Dog Park or paperwork may be downloaded or printed and scanned and emailed to Please ensure that you include a phone number and staff will contact you to take your credit card payment over the phone.
    • Please do not include credit card information in email.
    • If your access fob has been deactivated, it will be reactivated.
    • A copy of your receipt will be mailed.

  2. Dog Swim

    The canine aquatics event of the year: the Annual Dog Swim at Fassnight Pool! One dog per human, no humans allowed in the pool. All proceeds benefit Crust Dog Park, Springfield's first off-leash dog park. Proof of updated vaccination to register. Pre-registration strongly encouraged - dogs don't like waiting in line!   3. DogFest

    A canine extravaganza! Everyone, including the family dog, is invited for free fun and activities. DogFest features dog agility demonstrations, expert seminars, local celebrities, police K-9s, therapy dogs, a dog fashion show, canine-related vendors and non-profits and a dog-themed bounce house for kids. All proceeds benefit Crust Dog Park, Springfield's first off-leash dog park.
