Doling Family Center Rules & Policies
Rules and policies are posted for all Doling Family Center users. The authority to enforce these policies is vested in the staff responsible for facilities and programs. Violations of rules, malicious use or defacing of property, solicitation, verbal abuse, or other violations of the Doling Family Center will not be tolerated. Doling Family Center staff reserves the right to make discretionary adjustment to disciplinary action depending on the circumstances which may include suspension or revoking patron privileges. Disciplinary policies will be enforced.
Facility Rules
All non-members 18 years old and older must present a valid ID when checking into the facility. Children that are 12-17 years old may be in the facility without an adult, but an adult (18+) must sign them in, with a valid ID. Anyone younger than 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult while in the facility.
Gymnasium
- Doling Family Center reserves the right to suspend facility privileges to anyone who disregards rules and/or policies
- Full court play will be by staff approval only
- Gym schedule is subject to change
- Hanging on basketball rims is not allowed
- No disruptive or unsafe behavior
- No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed
- No offensive language
- No street shoes
- A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 9 years old
- Please exercise good sportsmanship when playing and selecting teams for play
- Shirt and shoes are to be worn at all times
- Skins permitted during game play only
- Spitting will not be tolerated
- Tennis shoes only
Walking Track
- Designated direction sign will be alternated daily
- No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed
- No street shoes
- No wheeled items permitted
- A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 14 years old
- Shirt and shoes to be worn at all times
- Spitting will not be tolerated
- Tennis shoes only
- Walkers must stay on the inside lane and joggers on the outside lane
- Water bottles are permitted
Game Room
- A 20-minute time limit will be issued if others are waiting to play
- All game room equipment must be signed in and out at front desk
- Change will be provided at the front desk for your convenience
- No disruptive of unsafe behavior
- No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed
- No offensive language
- A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 9 years old
- Sitting on game table is not allowed
Community Room
- All food and drink must remain in the community room area
- Change will be provided at the front desk for your convenience
- Clean-up is the responsibility of each person using the community room area
- Water bottles are allowed in the exercise area and walking track
Childcare
- Care will be available for children 3 months to 8 years old
- Childcare staff should be made aware of any special considerations for their children upon arrival
- The childcare staff will not be responsible for lost articles or clothing
- Disruptive children will need to be picked up by their parent or guardian upon being paged
- If these needs arise, the parent will be paged to the childcare room
- The maximum capacity of the childcare area is a total of 20 children
- Maximum visit is 2 hours
- Parent or guardian must remain on the premises at all times
- The parent will be responsible for feeding and diaper changes
Exercise & Aerobics Area
- All bags and personal belongings should be left in lockers, not on the fitness area floor
- All users are asked to wipe off machines following use with provided supplies
- Appropriate clothing and shoes required
- The attendant at the fitness desk controls TVs
- Be prompt in your use
- Children under the age of 14 are restricted from all designated exercise area
- If there is waiting, machine use is restricted to 30 minutes per session
- No disruptive or unsafe behavior
- No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed
- No offensive language
- Out of respect for our commitment to family atmosphere, please dress thoughtfully
- Patrons may not change TV channels
- Please be considerate of others waiting to use machines
- A wait list is provided for anyone waiting to use any cardiovascular equipment
- Water bottles are permitted
Aquatics
- All visitors to indoor pools must also follow the Park Board’s Family Center rules, which require children 11 and under to be accompanied by an adult at the facility.

Please Be Mindful
The following are examples of unacceptable conduct:
- Abuse or intentional misuse of equipment and properties
- Abusive or foul language
- Disregarding rules and policies
- Engaging in dangerous activity
- Fighting or threatening harm to others
- Lack of respect for other guests
- Lack of respect for staff i.e. ignored request, intimidation, threats, etc.
- Non-payment of membership, program or service fees
- Sexual harassment Use of alcohol, nonprescription drugs or tobacco.
- Vandalism or theft
Guest Disciplinary Policy
Doling Family Center is a facility operating for the benefit of our guests. Guests are expected to join the staff in promoting a pleasant recreational environment. Guests are asked to use mature judgment in choosing actions, clothing, language and be sensitive to the message it delivers. Guests should respect the rights of others and are encouraged to display good sportsmanship so that participation in all activities is enjoyable and safe. The behavior of a guest must not disrupt the experience of others. All problems should be reported immediately to the front desk staff.
