Dairy Days Saturday at Rutledge-Wilson
Community Farm Park
Springfield, MO, May 10, 2012 - The annual Dairy Days agricultural celebration returns to Rutledge-Wilson Farm Community Park Saturday, May 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3825 W. Farm Road 146, just west of Springfield.
The family-friendly event includes agricultural demonstrations and displays as well as farm animal exhibits and farm-themed activities.
Early gas engines and tractors, sheep shearing, dog herding, beekeeping, spinning and weaving and, of course, milking will all be on display at the event.
Sheep, lambs, alpacas, stock dogs and milk cows will appear at Dairy Days, as well as theducklings, piglets and other animals which live at the Farm Park, including a new baby boar goat born Tuesday, May 8.
The event is free, but some activities have a small fee, including pony rides, bounce house, accelerator slice, face painting, butter making, hayrides and the kids’ Cow Train.
