FACILITY RULES
Children must be 12 years old to enter the building without parent/guardian supervision.
Gymnasium
o A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 9 years old.
o No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed.
o No offensive language.
o No disruptive or unsafe behavior.
o Tennis shoes only. No street shoes.
o Spitting will not be tolerated.
o Hanging on basketball rims is not allowed.
o Shirt and shoes are to be worn at all times. Skins permitted during game play only.
o Please exercise good sportsmanship when playing and selecting teams for play.
o Full court play will be by staff approval only.
o Chesterfield Family Center reserves the right to suspend facility privileges to anyone who disregards rules and/or policies.
o Gym schedule is subject to change.
Walking Track
o A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 14 years old.
o Designated direction sign will be alternated daily.
o Walkers must stay on the inside lane and joggers on the outside lane.
o No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed. Water bottles are permitted.
o Tennis shoes only. No street shoes.
o Shirt and shoes to be worn at all times.
o Spitting will not be tolerated.
o No wheeled items permitted.
o 18 laps = 1 mile
Game Room
o A parent or guardian must accompany all children younger than 9 years old.
o No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed.
o No offensive language.
o No disruptive of unsafe behavior.
o Change will be provided at the front desk for your convenience.
o Sitting on game table is not allowed.
o A 20-minute time limit will be issued if others are waiting to play.
o All game room equipment must be signed in and out at front desk.
Concessions
o All food and drink must remain in the concessions area. Water bottles are allowed in the exercise area and walking track.
o Change will be provided at the front desk for your convenience.
o Clean-up is the responsibility of each person using the concessions area.
Childcare
o Care will be available for children 3 months to 8 years old.
o Maximum visit is 2 hours.
o Disruptive children will need to be picked up by their parent or guardian upon being paged.
o Parent or guardian must remain on the premises at all times.
o Childcare staff should be made aware of any special considerations for their children upon arrival.
o The childcare staff will not be responsible for lost articles or clothing.
o The maximum capacity of the childcare area is a total of 20 children.
o The parent will be responsible for feeding and diaper changes. If these needs arise, the parent will be paged to the childcare room.
Exercise and Aerobics Area
o Children under the age of 14 are restricted from all designated exercise areas
o No food, drink, or chewing gum allowed. Water bottles are permitted.
o All users are asked to wipe off machines following use with provided supplies.
o Appropriate clothing and shoes required. Out of respect for our commitment to a family atmosphere, please dress thoughtfully.
o No offensive language.
o No disruptive or unsafe behavior.
o Please be considerate of others waiting to use machines. Be prompt in your use.
o All bags and personal belongings should be left in lockers, not on the fitness area floor.
o The attendant at the fitness desk controls TVs. Patrons may not change TV channels.
o A wait list is provided for anyone waiting to use any cardiovascular equipment. If there is waiting, machine use is restricted to 30 minutes per session.
