Kids and families of all ages are invited to play games at Parks Play Day, Sunday, April 27, 1-3 p.m. on the Great Lawn at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield. 


Pitch, Hit & Run competition Saturday, May 3 at Cooper Sports Complex

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board hosts Pitch, Hit & Run, a free youth baseball and softball skills competition Saturday, May 3, 9-11 a.m., at Cooper Sports Complex, 2701 E. Pythian St., Springfield.

For the past month, Master Gardeners of Greene County have been busy selecting, digging, “potting up” and labeling plants for their 16th annual Spring Plant Sale, to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014, rain or shine, at the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center in Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park, 2400 S.
