Thanksgiving Day, Thurs., Nov. 23 at 8 a.m. 

Turkey Trot is Springfield’s largest timed 5K run/walk of the year and the largest Thanksgiving Day 5K in Missouri, attracting more than 7,000 participants a year. Proceeds from the event benefit the Springfield-Greene County Park Board Scholarship Fund and the Developmental Center of the Ozarks. Turkey Trot also serves as one of the largest one-day food drives of the year for Ozarks Food Harvest, with more than 6,500 meals donated at the event last year. Bring the whole family including the family dog and join in on the Thanksgiving morning fun!

Race begins at 8 a.m.

The 23rd Annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run is held rain, snow or shine on Thursday, Nov. 23, 8 a.m., at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis St., in downtown Springfield. 

Early bird registration deadline: Friday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m. $20/adults, $15/kids 12 and under. 

Register online ($3.25 online service fee per person) or use this form (deliver by Nov. 17 or postmark by Nov. 13.) 

On-site registration: In person only, Wednesday, Nov. 22, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; and Race Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 6-7:15 a.m. at the Springfield Expo Center, $30/adults, $25/kids 12 and younger. 

Packet Pick-up: Open Wednesday, Nov. 22, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; and Race Day, Thursday, Nov. 23. 6-7:15 a.m. at the Springfield Expo Center. Registration includes a long-sleeved t-shirt and a race bib with timing device. 

Please share your Thanksgiving and bring five nonperishable food items to donate to Ozarks Food Harvest! Donations are collected at Springfield Expo Center during packet pick-up and on race day. No unattended bags or items allowed on race day.

For the safety of all event participants, no unattended bags or items are allowed at or along the race site. Such items may be considered abandoned and subject to search and seizure.
