A season that started with three straight losses and season-ending injuries to three of their four roster players is ending in an improbable trip to the 2014 Mylan WTT Finals after the Springfield Lasers upset the San Diego Aviators 22-17 on Thursday night to win the Mylan WTT Western Conference title


20th Annual Turkey Trot T-shirt Design Contest

For the 20th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run, we’re asking YOU to help us design the event shirt. Get creative and email your design to amcgrath@springfieldmo.gov by Friday, August 8. Qualifying designs will be displayed on the Park Board website and facebook page. The final design will be chosen by the Turkey Trot Committee and the winner will be recognized at the post-race award ceremony on Thanksgiving day.

Movies at Founders Park begins Friday, July 11

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board's annual Movies at Founders Park series begins Friday, July 11, bringing new release and classic movies to a family-friendly outdoor setting in downtown Springfield's Founders Park, 330 E. Water St. The series continues every Friday and Saturday night until August 30.

Botanical Day Camp offered at Springfield Botanical Gardens

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board, in partnership with University of Missouri Greene County Extension and Friends of the Garden, offers Botanical Day Camp: five weeks of garden-themed youth day camps at the Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic Ave., Springfield.
